Ingredients:
- ½ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup mustard
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 pound lean ground beef (96%) or tenderloin
- Half a loaf of whole wheat bread, sliced or without crust
- 1 cup chopped Vidalia onion
- 3 large egg whites
- A pinch of salt flakes
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ⅓ cup dipping sauce
- ¼ cup yellow mustard
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
Directions for Cooking:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spray a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, shredded bread, onion, egg whites, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the ground beef mixture and mix thoroughly using your hands.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and transfer it to the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until fully cooked.
- Once done, remove from the oven, place on a cooling rack, and let it cool for 10 minutes.
- Slice into five equal pieces, serve on a platter, and enjoy!
