Mallorca bread: good, fluffy and easy to make at home!

INGREDIENTS
  •  7g (2 ¼ tsp) dry yeast;
  • 125ml (½ cup) water;
  • 185ml (¾ cup) milk;
  • 125ml (½ cup) butter, melted;
  • 60g (⅓ cup) sugar;
  • ¼ tsp salt;
  • 3 egg yolks;
  • 540g (4 cups) all-purpose flour;
  • Melted butter;
  • Full-fat cream.
METHOD
  1.  Whisk 1 tbsp of sugar and dry yeast into warm water. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  2.  Add warm milk into the yeast solution, then whisk in egg yolks, leftover sugar and melted butter.
  3.  Add flour and salt into the liquid mixture and mix together until the dough forms.
  4.  Cover and set the dough aside for 1 hour.
  5.  Roll the dough out into a rectangle, brush with some more butter and cut into 12 strips.
  6.  Roll each strip into a bun as shown on the video. Set aside for 1 hour to puff up, then brush with cream and bake at 180C/350F for 15-20 minutes, until golden. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
